Lore of Golarion

Separator image

Golarion is the main world of the Pathfinder campaign setting on which much of the events in the game take place. The planet orbits a yellow sun in the far reaches of the multiverse among dozens of other worlds. Third in orbit, this blue planet contains vast oceans and lush green lands, the perfect environment for human cultures to thrive. Its nearest neighbors, Castrovel the Green World and Akiton the Red Planet, (second and fourth from the sun, respectively) fill Golarion’s night sky along with its crater-scarred moon.

Golarion Calendar

Time passes on Golarion much as it does here on our own Earth. Sixty seconds form a minute, sixty minutes create an hour, and twenty-four hours make a day. The people of Golarion measure time much like we do as well, with seven days to a week and twelve months to a year. Years are marked since the founding of the last great empire, that of Aroden, the Last of the First Humans. Although the empire has collapsed, its calendar remains in use to this day. At the start of the Rise of the Runelords campaign, the date is 4707 AR (Absalom Reckoning). The current date is 24 Erastus, 4721.

Each day has a general purpose that most people in the Inner Sea region follow. The days of the week are as follows.
